As the College Architect and Director of Campus Planning and Construction, I oversaw the design and gut renovation of the entire floor of a downtown Chicago high-rise for the expanding Business and Entrepreneurship department. Working closely with the design team led by Gensler, this project initiated the transition from established interior design standards to a more minimal and polished visual identity. Throughout the project I acted as the liaison between the end users and the design team, streamlined the recommended fixtures and finishes, coordinated the furniture and audio visual equipment from design through installation, reviewed all pay applications and change orders, designed a custom laser cut steel screen, and commissioned an alumni artist for a unique mural.

The resulting high quality and adaptable learning environment was so appreciated by the students and faculty that it established new expectations for future campus construction projects.
